Beech Holdings Raise Funds for RECLAIM in 10k
Beech Holdings employees raised funds for youth charity RECLAIM by taking part in the Great Manchester 10k this weekend.
More than 20 staff members took part in the gruelling race which was the firm’s first fundraiser for the Manchester-based youth leadership charity.
Alexander Bowker came first in the Beech team, achieving 899th place overall out of 35,000, after completing the run in 43 minutes and 15 seconds.
Stephen Beech, known as ‘Manchester’s Restoration Man’ because of his commitment to bringing old unloved city buildings back to life, said: “It was a great event which saw tens of thousands of people take to the streets in aid of many charities.
“I enjoyed taking part, as did everyone at Beech. It’s not easy, so it was rewarding to get over that line.”
RECLAIM supports young people from working class backgrounds enabling them to maximise their full leadership potential irrespective of postcode, school or family background. Their vision is to end leadership inequality within a generation.
