Norwegian expands at Manchester Airport with two new routes

Low-cost carrier Norwegian has expanded its offer at Manchester Airport after two new routes were cleared for take-off this week.

From this Thursday (June 2), the airline will operate a twice-weekly service to Alicante and four weekly flights to Malaga, giving passengers access to around 130k additional seats for trips to the popular summer destinations.

The two routes will be serviced with new 186-seater aircraft featuring free WiFi.

Norwegian’s chief commercial officer, Thomas Ramdahl, said: “Norwegian’s expansion plans at Manchester are only at the beginning.

“380k passengers have already enjoyed our services including free WiFi, comfortable seating and brand new aircraft all at affordable fares to and from Manchester Airport.”

He added: “With our new routes to Malaga and Alicante, customers now have even more choice to lighten the load on their wallets by flying to this summer’s hotspots with Norwegian.”

Having operated at Manchester Airport since 2011, Norwegian’s services also connect the North West with Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Barcelona.
