Time to Talk: Community Music Special
Time to Talk: Community Music Special In partnership with Youth Music
19 July 2016: noon to 1.30pm
The Community Foundation will be hosting a themed Time to Talk round table discussion on 19 July 2016 focusing on supporting community music projects.
The session is open to anyone working in the area of community music and is an opportunity to come together to learn about grant programmes available through the Community Foundation and Youth Music, and share best practice.
Youth Music is a national charity supporting over 350 music projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances. The charity supports many fantastic projects in the North East. Find out more about the Youth Music grants programme, eligibility criteria, and how to apply.
Please join us if you are connected to a group, charity, or support agency, and we welcome volunteers, staff members, consultants, fundraisers or trustees.
The session will have no agenda but is an opportunity to meet and raise issues as well as giving you a chance to network, learn about the work that is taking place, and make new contacts.
The session will be hosted by Ellie Turner, Principal Advisor for Culture at the Community Foundation and Flora Ward, Grants & Learning Officer at Youth Music. We will provide tea, coffee and a snack.
Tuesday 19 July from 12 noon to 1.30pm
Philanthropy House, Woodbine Road, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 1DD (full directions will be sent in advance of the session)
Advance booking is essential on a first come, first served basis, and numbers will be limited to one representative per organisation (unless you require a support worker).
You can reserve a place by emailing: sm@communityfoundation.org.uk.
