Sheffield United announce major three-year sponsorship deal
Sheffield United has signed a major sponsorship deal with Doordeals, also based in Sheffield.
The door retailer has agreed a six figure, three-year deal to become the new back-of-shirt sponsors of Sheffield United’s adidas home and away kits.
Doordeals, which is based within a mile of the Blades’ Bramall Lane stadium, is a multi-million-pound turnover business which manufactures and imports internal and external timber doors.
The independent online timber door retailer delivers to customers throughout the whole of the UK using its own dedicated logistics fleet.
The partnership was confirmed at Doordeals showroom and distribution centre at Soho Works, Saxon Road when Sheffield United legend Tony Currie, the club’s head of commercial Paul Reeves and commercial key account manager Liam Robinson signed off the contract with Door Deals founder John Naylor and managing director Steve Naylor.
Steve Naylor, Doordeals managing director and lifelong fan, said: “This is a very proud day for Doordeals and we are excited to be associated with Sheffield United F.C. as a major commercial partner.
“The exposure that comes with this opportunity can only enhance the profile of our business and contribute to our continued growth as a national online retailer.”
Blades’ Paul Reeves added: “This is another outstanding commercial arrangement for the Club and we would like to place on record our thanks to outgoing back of shirt sponsor DBL Logistics for their support over the last two seasons.
“This new relationship with Doordeals will give significant profile to a well-established Sheffield business and we are delighted to announce this long-term relationship.”
