Ameresco UK secures Yorkshire framework win to boost public sector offering
Ameresco UK, the Castleford-based energy efficiency and renewable energy, announced has secured a place on the Yorkshire Procurement Organisation (YPO) framework.
The YPO framework covers England and Wales and has been created to give local authorities and organisations such as hospitals and leisure centres access to quality Combined Heat and Power (CHP) services.
This marks the fourth new public sector framework win for Ameresco UK, alongside Re:Fit; The Carbon & Energy Fund (CEF); and Scottish non-Domestic Energy Efficiency Program (ScNDEE).
Through the YPO framework, Ameresco UK - which also has offices in London - will have the opportunity to identify, design and implement CHP systems in buildings with a consistent heat load.
Britta MacIntosh, VP of UK Operations London, said: “The YPO offers organisations a fast and efficient procurement process providing best value for money.
“Because we have already implemented a wide range of CHP and District Heating systems, helping clients to meet energy efficiency goals and reducing their carbon footprint, we look forward to supporting YPO in their efficiency efforts through this framework.
“As an independent consultant, Ameresco UK is not restricted by any ties and this helps us to get the best energy and cost savings for clients.
“Combined with our vast engineering expertise and experience, as well as the capacity to support savings assurances, we are in a strong position to support public sector projects across the UK.”
Ameresco has worked on a wide range of multi-million dollar public sector projects within the US, with clients including the Federal Government, municipalities, schools and public housing authorities.
Ms. MacIntosh added: “The public sector is under increasing pressure to cut spending, while also meeting specific carbon targets. There are realistic and measurable ways to achieve this, including the use of CHP systems, which can provide substantial energy and cost savings.”
