100 businesses sign up to West & North Yorkshire Chamber’s Raising the Bar
100 businesses have now signed up to West & North Yorkshire Chamber’s ‘Raising the Bar’ initiative.
Raising the Bar allows businesses all of sizes to record and showcase the activities they undertake in the four key areas of community, environment, economy and education.
The initiative provides recognition for all the great deeds businesses undertake to make a better working and living environment in the region.
The scheme also has an annual awards ceremony which takes place later this year. The awards recognise businesses which have undertaken activities in the four areas and gone the extra mile.
Rob Lawson from Provident Financial, who supports the scheme and has been involved since its inception, commented: “This is a unique initiative as it recognises the contribution of all businesses from sole trader to large corporate.
The awards are a real celebration of the great work being done across West & North Yorkshire and a great event to attend.“
Stephen Wright chairman, West & North Yorkshire Chamber, added: “We’re acting as a kind of a broker in this scheme bringing together individuals, businesses and organisations that can give support or need it.
“It’s a chance for businesses to show their involvement in their community and demonstrate that they don’t operate in a bubble - and can have an impact on their surrounding area and economy.”
