Expansion for Union Room at St Peter’s Wharf
Leading Newcastle web design agency Union Room has outlined ambitious expansion plans after moving to a new office that doubles the amount of space at its disposal.
Union Room, has left its office at Hoult’s Yard and taken 3,000 sq ft of space at the St Peter’s Basin marina. The firm has been operating since 2003 and has a portfolio that includes Parkdean Holidays, Sanderson Young, DFDS, Reece Group, True Potential and Story Homes.
Union Room MD Glen Stovold said the move was prompted by a need for an office space that would allow the business to grow – and he said it was now looking to recruit more designers and developers as part of the next stage of its expansion.
“We needed an office space that fitted our image as a progressive, forward-thinking employer. St Peter’s Wharf is a stunning location that has matured nicely since it was developed and we are one of several growing businesses to make the move here in recent months,” he said.
“We needed more space, first and foremost, but also needed more facilities such as meeting rooms, breakout areas and leisure facilities – we’ve been able to add a pool table, for example, as well as a shower that will allow staff to cycle to work or exercise at lunchtime.
“We are now on the lookout for talented individuals to come and join us at our new home. The move has created two new positions in the short-term, and we hope there will be more to come in the future,” Stovold added.
