Cramlington firm HTL sets sights on global expansion

Cramlington-based HTL has announced plans to increase its market share of the global energy market by harnessing the expertise of the Energy Industries Council (EIC).

The family-run firm, which provides controlled bolting, flange working and portable machine solutions, has joined EIC and hopes the move will help to promote its 100% British made products to the energies industries worldwide.

EIC is a trade association for UK-registered companies that supply goods and services to the global energy market and has 600 members.

Stephen Jones, group CEO, HTL Group said: “We believe that the EIC’s wealth of industry experience overseas and their comprehensive tracking of new business opportunities will be extremely valuable in helping us to increase our market share in what is an increasingly challenging marketplace.”

HTL has eight global facilities and one of the largest rental fleets in Europe.

Its product lines are distributed to more than 40 countries and it is considered Europe’s largest independently-owned supplier to the controlled bolting sector.

The EIC supports its members in marketing and selling their energy products and services in the UK and overseas.

It provides business intelligence, networking opportunities including exhibitions and trade missions, training, consultancy and business support services that are designed to help companies capitalise on international opportunities.
