The ultimate handbag collection comes to Leeds

Handbag hunter Charlotte Staerck has put together a handbag collection to rival that of the likes of Victoria Beckham or Kim Kardashian.

Spice Girl-turned fashion designer Victoria is said to own 100 Hermés Birkins, worth somewhere in the region of £1.5m, while Kim Kardashian has been spotted over her years of fame with some 70 bags from designers including Chanel, Hermés and Alexander McQueen.

But Charlotte has been busy putting together a collection herself, featuring everyone from Louis Vuitton to Mulberry, Chanel to Valentino and Saint Laurent to Mui Mui.

Although, in this case, the collection in question is for Handbag Clinic, which is set to launch in Leeds on June 17th.

While Handbag Clinic is renowned for cleaning and repairing bags from the world’s leading designers, its latest store will also stock pre-loved, and reconditioned, handbags from acclaimed fashion houses.

Charlotte says: “I really do have the best job in the world. Sourcing handbags for the Leeds store launch has been an absolute pleasure and I’m thrilled with what we’re now able to offer in the city.

“Leeds is already, deservedly, renowned for a love of designer shopping so we’re expecting a lot of interest from people keen to get their hands on genuine designer handbags at a fraction of the price you’d expect to pay new. Having the cleaning and repair service alongside a collection available to buy makes perfect sense. When a bag comes in which needs a little TLC, we can make sure it is brought back to its former glory before it goes on sale.”

The firm has stores in Chelsea, Islington and Newcastle and had been searching for some time for the perfect location in Leeds.

Handbag Clinic opens at 12 Queens Arcade, Leeds LS1 6LF on June 17th with half-price cleans, canapes and Champagne from 10am to 6pm.
