Master Cutler’s Charity Match Success for Monaghans
Monaghans scored a major hit for the 2016 Sheffield Master Cutler’s Challenge after raising more than £3500 with their charity football match.
The Master Cutler’s Challenge is the annual charity fundraising extravaganza that sees businesses, groups and individuals take up the challenge of raising money for the Master Cutler’s chosen organisations. This year’s chosen organisations are St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield and Rotherham Hospice.
As part of their fundraising efforts, Monaghans hosted a charity football match at Bramall Lane, the home of Sheffield United FC where the ‘Monaghans All Stars’, led by Tan Khan of Monaghans, took on the ‘Rest of Property XI’, led by Adrian Lunn of Lambert Smith Hampton and captained by Barry Smith.
The 90 minute match was sponsored by Sheffield Digital Campus and provided an evening of entertainment for the 250 supporters in attendance.
St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Coordinator Jack Kidder said:
“This was a fantastic event and one that really will make a huge difference to the lives of hospice patients in both Sheffield and Rotherham. It proves yet again that there are so many great ways to support the Master Cutler’s Challenge“
Tan Khan, Director at Monaghans said
“I would like to thank everyone that was involved in providing a memorable experience for all participants and raising a substantial amount of money for a worthwhile cause. We have already booked the ground for next year’s match“
