PR specialist hops into a mum-friendly business
PR specialist Becki Rogerson has hopped into opening her own bijou agency, Hop PR, with a focus on harnessing the North West’s mum PR talent.
The PR, social, content and events firm, based in Poynton, is seeing Rogerson work with other talented and experienced freelance mums to deliver campaigns to the already flourishing client list.
These include: MIS Active Management Systems, Serenity Health and Beauty, Renew Medical Aesthetics and performing arts start-up Raising The Barre. Becki also consults for top south Cheshire agencies Good Relations, Oakbase and Toast PR.
Becki said: “Having gained a wealth of experience both in house and agency, I decided to hop, skip and jump my way into opening Hop PR after having my daughter Ruby. Trying as we all are to get that better work - life balance, opening Hop seemed like the most natural step for me.
“I am passionate about women in PR being able to continue their career progression and success after having children, so I set about finding fellow experienced PRs to work with me at Hop. Having children should not mean we are put out to PR pasture, quite the opposite, so Hop has connected with some of the North West’s top mummy talent and wants to welcome more! Collaborating with like-minded PRs, who have extensive and enviable experience and contacts is just a no-brainer for me, whether they can work one day a week or five!’
Becki, 29, previously led the consumer PR team at de Winter, who were crowned with the highly respected and coveted accolade ‘Outstanding PR Consultancy of the Year’ at the CIPR Pride Awards under her steer. Becki has worked with many household brands including: Warburtons, B&Q, Venture photography, Chinese State Circus and Robinson’s Beer.
