Spa Bus Raises Funds for Four UK Charities
Cheshire’s beauty lovers supported four UK charities last week when boarding a bus with a difference. Leading spa brand ELEMIS, with the help of local salon Serenity, stopped for the day in Poynton to pamper the community with all funds going to good causes.
To celebrate 25 years at the forefront of the skincare and spa industry, ELEMIS arrived in Cheshire to once more beautify the public with its interactive and luxurious double decker ‘Spa Bus’. Stopping at Poynton’s beauty spot, Serenity, on Thursday 16th June, the Poynton team alongside ELEMIS therapists raised nearly £1,000 across the day.
“The team and I were delighted with the turn out for the event. We brought beauty therapy to the village in a distinctive and exciting way. We made sure each passenger felt relaxed and refreshed, with them also getting that extra ‘feel good factor’ in knowing that every penny of their treatment went to life-changing charities.” said Serenity owner and organiser of the event Nichola Wilkson.
£735 was raised for Breast cancer care, woman 4 woman international and the Eve appeal through booked treatments which ranged from massages to facials, with an extra £130 being collected for a cause very close to the Poynton team’s hearts, Ollies Army, in way of a raffle.
Nichola ended: “We hope that everyone that got involved enjoyed their day as much as my team did, we are delighted to have raised a good amount for such vital charities.”
