North East employee talent celebrated at awards ceremony
An awards programme celebrating talented employees across the North East has announced its winners.
The North East Employee of the Year Awards, which held its inaugural ceremony at the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall Hotel on Friday, rewarded the hard work and dedication of employees on all levels of business.
Honouring a variety of talent, including Best Young Employee and the Unsung Hero, the ceremony featured a drinks reception, three-course dinner and first class entertainment in an effort to celebrate the successes of staff across the region.
Nichola Hall, of Sage UK, scooped two of the biggest accolades on the night, receiving both the ‘Leadership’ award and ‘Employee of the Year 2016’.
Other winners included the Evolution Academies Team at Evolution LLP for ‘Best Practice in the Workplace’, Matthew Smith from the If U Care Foundation for ‘Making a Difference in the Community’, Stephanie Taylor Birch of the New Northumbria Hotel for the ‘Outstanding Service’ award, and the HR Team at Nifco UK for ‘Team of the Year’.
The event was run by leading North East event management company, She’s Gott It!, after listening to local businesses about the need to showcase the region’s most talented employees.
She’s Gott It! managing director, Nicki Gott, said: “With so many great people gathered to celebrate the hard work and dedication of staff being honoured, it was always going to be fantastic, and we are eternally grateful to everyone who made it possible, including our kind sponsors.
“A huge congratulations to all of the winners, as well as the nominees. You should all be extremely proud of your achievements. Your hard work is true testament to the North East’s capabilities.”
