Smartphone App ‘Now GP’ partners with Thomas Cook

Feeling a bit under the weather, but can’t get a doctors appointment?

The Manchester based firm Now GP’s latest partnership with Thomas Cook will soothe everyone’s worst holiday nightmare by connecting customers with a qualified UK doctor.

Accessing quality healthcare while on holiday can be a struggle with the language barrier and other factors such as remote locations.

But you need not fear with Now GP, a handy smartphone app enables anyone to take a doctor on holiday with them, at the tap of a finger you can arrange a consultation with a fully licensed general practitioner to discuss and potentially prescribe medications while abroad.

Manchester based Now Healthcare Group, the company behind Now GP has partnered with holidaying giant Thomas Cook to provides customers who bolt-on their travel insurance policy this enhanced level of customer care.

Chris Mottershead, Managing Director at Thomas Cook says: “Now GP is a great enhancement to our insurance policy and enables our customers to travel abroad with an even greater peace of mind. Customer welfare and satisfaction is very much at the heart of what we do and it’s through listening to customer feedback that we decided to improve our offering. We hope that our customers feel even further protected by having free access to an NHS-qualified GP from anywhere in the world where they can connect to the internet.“

Now GP recently rebranded from the previous name Dr Now.
