Together shines on Stockport Business Awards shortlist

Specialist lender Together has been shortlisted for Business of the Year and Employer of the Year at the annual Stockport Business Awards.

Organised by accountancy practice Clarke Nicklin, the awards celebrate business excellence within the region, with winners to be announced on 13 October at Stockport Town Hall.

Speaking of the nominations, commercial CEO Marc Goldberg commented: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted in these two esteemed categories at this year’s Stockport Business Awards. Stockport is home to a thriving business community and it’s great to receive this local recognition.

“The past year has been an incredible one for Together. Our lending figures are up more than 50% on the previous year, and we’ve helped thousands of customers - consumers, property professionals, investors and local businesses, to access the finance they need.

“As a local employer we’ve created more than 125 new jobs in the past twelve months, and over a third of our colleagues have been with us for five years or more. We also do a lot of work within the community. A team of our colleagues has just returned from the Three Peaks Challenge, where they climbed three mountains in 24 hours, raising over £12,000 for St Ann’s Hospice in Stockport.”

Together has a loan book in excess of £1.7bn, and the company’s headcount has increased by more than 22 per cent since May last year.
