Agile provide more students with IT work experience
Teesside based ICT firm Agile have once again provided work experience opportunities to two bright enthusiastic IT students.
The firm earlier in the year revealed they were providing a 6 month scheme to a student from Hartlepool’s Catcote Academy. This week, they have given week long schemes to two students from Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough.
15 year olds Adam Orpen and Joe Barnfather are studying Computing Science for their GCSE’s and have strong passions to work within the IT industry. When the school revealed they were looking for their students to gain work experience, the IT industry was the only one of interest to the pair.
Adam revealed that from a very early age IT was always his passion and finds technology interesting. Of the opportunity, he said “I am really excited about this week and learning what goes on in an IT business. Hopefully this can help me with a career into IT programming”. Adam will be spending his week working alongside the systems and development department, working on back end IT projects.
Joe has also expressed a strong desire to work in the IT industry and aims for a long and successful career. “This is my first time getting a taste of the IT industry and I am really eager to learn from this. I would love to work my way up the IT ladder and work for a big company”. Joe’s week will mainly be spent at customer’s premises with Agile engineers.
Agile continue to work hard on helping the local community and working alongside charities and schools within the region. It is expected that further opportunities for students will be available later in the year.
