Jet2 announces biggest ever winter programme from Leeds Bradford Airport
Jet2 has announced its ‘biggest ever’ winter programme from Leeds Bradford Airport.
With 400,000 seats available between 30th October 2016 and 25th March 2017, Jet2 is offering 50,000 more seats for its winter 2016/17 season than in 2015/16 from its Yorkshire base.
This increase in passenger numbers has been driven by the expansion of existing routes as well as the launch of two new routes of Berlin and Grenoble.
Jet2.com has also added more seats to winter sun beach destinations this year including the Canary Islands, Alicante and Faro.
Steve Heapy, chief executive officer, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This is by far our biggest winter programme to date.
“The number of Yorkshire people jetting away for some much-needed winter sunshine means we are seeing spectacular growth, and we now have over 200,000 winter sun seats to popular holiday hotspots such as Alicante, the Canary Islands and the Algarve.
“It isn’t just the sunshine that is driving growth, as our ski and city break destinations are on the up too. As a result we are adding new winter routes including Berlin and Grenoble.
“When you combine these new routes with the success of our other winter destinations then it puts us in a very strong position to enjoy our most successful winter yet.”
