Rix Brothers Triumph at Regional Entrepreneur of the Year Finals

The multi-award winning Carfinance247 founders scooped the innovation award at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards this week, meaning that they will now progress to the UK finals of the programme and compete for the overall Entrepreneur of the Year title.

Held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, and hosted by BBC Breakfast business presenter Steph McGovern, the awards dinner honoured business leaders across 10 categories and winners were selected from 40 leading companies from across the North West, Yorkshire and North East.

Reg and Louis Rix established Carfinance247 with the aim of filling a gap in the market – addressing the problems people coming online were having in sourcing a good deal on their car finance packages. By providing consumers with finance ahead of them finding a car, Carfinance247 has essentially turned the motor finance market on its head and through sourcing finance options from a large panel of lenders its customers can access the best motor finance deal for their personal circumstances and credit history.

Carfinance247 is now the most visited car finance website with double the traffic of its nearest competitor and having increased turnover by 280% in 2016, the entrepreneurial brothers behind Carfinance247 impressed the judges with a compelling business story of exceptional growth and unrivalled success.

Commenting on last night’s awards and the company’s position in the marketplace, managing director Reg Rix said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised in this category and we have our fingers firmly crossed for the results in the overall Entrepreneur of the Year award later in the year.
