BrightHR scoops HR Provider of the Year at prestigious SME Awards

Pioneering people management software company BrightHR has been crowned winner of HR Provider of the Year at the 2016 SME Awards.

The Manchester based people management software company, which also scooped the Best Communication award last week at the Best Business Awards, was up against PES Consulting and People HR, amongst other leading HR providers in the category.

Launching in November 2015, BrightHR has quickly established itself as a major disrupter in the HR arena, with its absence management tool allowing businesses to manage absences on the go.

Following the successful launch of the software, BrightHR is now available as an app meaning employees can update sickness, holidays and personal time at the click of a button, or by using the app’s voice recognition technology.

BrightHR has become a thought leader on brilliant workplace cultures, and considers the idea that cutting off fun and play within the hours of 9 and 5 is making the working masses unhappy. BrightHR counters this by encouraging passion and creativity within the workplace, and this was clear from the offset, when they launched their insight-driven It Pays To Play academic report in partnership with Professor Sir Cary Cooper.

The SME Awards, run by Zinc Media, recognises excellence across all areas of business from social media and sales growth to customer experience and export.

Upon receiving the award, Paul Tooth, BrightHR’s co-founder and CEO, said: “We were delighted to receive this award and to be recognised as a leader in the HR field.

“We started out with the aim to provide employers and employees with an easy way to manage their HR needs with our cloud software, and have since launched our app with another exciting addition to the service set to land this summer.

“It’s very exciting to receive this accolade as our expansion plans gather momentum.”
