Housebuilder urges youngsters to stay safe this summer
A local housebuilder is reminding local parents and their children of the dangers of building sites in Hull ahead of the summer holidays. Despite looking like fun and appealing places to play for youngsters, Barratt Homes is aiming to remind local children of the dangers of building sites and is urging them to remain safe by steering clear.
To spread this important message, Barratt Homes has produced infographics for each school in the local area to help educate their pupils. This information will be supplied to primary schools across the region, and will help inform young children of the dangers of exploring building sites. Rather than putting themselves at risk, Barratt Homes aims to encourage children to find safer places to play this summer.
Steve Mattinson, Construction Director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, which is developing Liberty Green in Hull, commented: “Understandably, young children want to have fun during their summer holidays by exploring the local area with their friends. However, it is vital that children are aware of the dangers associated with construction and building sites in order for them to stay safe.”
Steve continued: “The safety of students is of utmost importance to us. We were therefore eager to find a visual and creative way to teach children of the dangers linked to playing on and near construction sites. It is our hope that these infographics will raise awareness amongst children in the area, and encourage them to stay safe and play elsewhere.”
