Quantum Pharma CEO resigns ‘for family reasons’
Andrew Scaife, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Pharma Plc, has tendered his resignation as a Director of the firm for family reasons.
Mr Scaife has agreed to remain at the business’ helm until a new appointment is confirmed and to facilitate a smooth handover.
The Durham-based pharmaceutical developer, manufacturer and supplier’s announcement this morning follows a key board level change already this year.
The company promoted Chris Rigg to the role of Chief Financial Officer in March , following Martin Such’s resignation. A formal search process to secure Andrew’s replacement will reportedly begin ‘as soon as possible’.
Quantum’s Chairman, John Clarke, said: “Andrew has made a significant contribution to the Group during the past seven years and has been instrumental to the Group’s growth and strategic direction, and to its admission to AIM in 2014.
“On behalf of the Board of directors of the Company, I would like to thank Andrew for his contribution and wish him the best for his future career.”
The business will hold its Annual General Meeting in Newcastle later today.
