Husband and wife duo bringing Thai restaurant to Brixton this Autumn

Brixton’s Atlantic Road will soon be graced with a new Thai restaurant when Rosa’s Thai opens its new restaurant this Autumn.

The Thai cafe, which currently has six outlets spread across London, has announced it is taking a 2,000 sq ft property in south London, finally bringing the chain to Brixton after the owners had earmarked the area following a visit to Brixton market.

Its new site, which will open in November, encompasses a ground and first floor, housing space for 74 covers and also includes a bar area, serving up its menu of Thai food thought up by founder and head chef Saiphin Moore.

In a first for the London chain, Rosa’s will bring in designers ‘Moreno:masey architects + interiors’ to work on the restaurant’s look and feel, including plans to take inspiration from Atlantic Road’s former Post Office for the outlet’s frontage.

Casey Phillips, Partner at Shelley Sandzer who managed the site said: “When we first inspected this site with one of the brand’s founders, Saiphin Moore, she had just gone vegetable shopping at the local Brixton market and was thrilled about the quality of the produce. From that moment I knew that this location would be perfect for them.

“It is always a great feeling to connect our clients with the perfect site and with this deal I feel that we have been able to do that once again.”

Founded by husband and wife duo Alex and Saiphin Moore, Thai Rosa’s first began life as a street food vendor in Brick Lane in 2006.
