Digital Union Summer Net Events Returns This Thursday

Digital Union, powered by Generator, has announced the return of Summer Net Together this July - The North East’s essential summer gathering for the creative and digital sector.

Taking place on 14th July from 6pm until 11pm, Digital Union is taking it back from the kids and hosting a good old-fashioned Sports Day before the summer holidays start in earnest.

Digital Union’s newly-appointed Networks Manager, Eleanor Forsyth explains: “I’m delighted to be working to support Digital Union’s membership and look forward to meeting with the brilliant businesses involved in the network. The Summer Net Together will be great fun and a relaxed way to get together and engage in a bit of friendly competition.

“I will be discussing our plans for Digital Union with members, our partners and many of the other creative and digital businesses from across the region and hope to see you there!”

Digital Union members and firms interested in subscribing to Digital Union, have the chance to enter teams of 8 people, made up of founders, directors, employees and clients, to compete for the coveted DU Trophy in extremely challenging competitions such as the sack race, 3-legged race, wheelbarrow race and the majestic egg and spoon. The Sports Day will be taking place in the latest addition to the North East’s stunning and vibrant cultural backdrop - Wylam Brewery’s new HQ at the Palace of the Arts in Newcastle’s Exhibition Park. Reception drinks will kick things off for Summer Net Together before the games begin.

With music supplied by Mick Rolfe of the Last Waltz and food trucks providing much needed sustenance, this looks set to be a brilliant evening of good food, great music, scintillating company and friendly competition.

Tickets for Summer Net Together are priced at £10 per person* for Digital Union Members, their employees and their clients and £20 plus booking fee* for non-members and those just wishing to join in the fun.
