Gosforth entrepreneur to open second children’s boutique concept
Gosforth mum of two Minna Scaife is expanding her children’s hairdressing and clothing enterprise, Pikku, through the opening of a new store in Morpeth this week.
The creative entrepreneur, originally from Finland, originally started up her boutique concept to create a unique retail experience for families with little ones.
Launched in Gosforth, Newcastle, less than two years ago, Minna mixes children’s hairdressing with a retail outlet selling a selection of fashion brands, not readily available on the High Streets in the North East.
Since launching Minna has also opened an online shop, increased Pikku’s retail collection to include toys and christening outfits and has introduced parties and parents’ hair plaiting courses, to widen the business’ service offering.
Minna spoke to Bdaily of her delight in what Pikku, and its entire team, has achieved since the firm’s inception.
“I am so proud of what we have achieved with Pikku, in a relatively short period of time and our customer loyalty is second to none, which is a testament to the level of service and attention we give to each and every customer”, Minna revealed.
“We have over 150 5 * star reviews on Facebook alone which is truly incredible. We are so excited to open new Pikku here in the North East and are looking forward to introducing everyone in Morpeth to fun Pikku experiences.”
The new Morpeth store, found on 4 Newgate Street, will officially open this friday (July 15).
