Local travel agent recognised for innovative business model

Amble based travel agent Lizzie Adamson-Brown who runs her own business as part of independent travel company Travel Counsellors, is celebrating after winning Best Homeworking Agency at the prestigious Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards last night in London.

Lizzie has been named as one of the best travel agents in the UK at the 21st Agent Achievement Awards at Park Plaza, London on 13th July. This closely follows Lizzie winning Top Homeworking Agency at the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Top 50 Awards earlier this year, establishing Travel Counsellors as the best in the business when it comes to empowering agents to work from home.

With 16 of industry experience under her belt, Lizzie began her leisure and corporate travel business from her home office in February 2014. Since then, she has built and maintained personal relationships with her significant customer base to grow a successful franchise based on creating truly bespoke, authentic travel experiences. In fact, in June 2016, Lizzie celebrated her best month since joining Travel Counsellors and is currently organising a luxury cruise event later this year.
