Tower to Tower for Barton Grangers
Two Barton Grange Garden Centre employees, Daniel Holden and Lavinia Davenport are set to cycle ‘wheelie-far’ in aid of ‘Mind’ the mental health charity next month.
The pair will swap their daisy chains for bike chains as they prepare to travel over 1,200km from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, along with eight others in order to raise awareness of the charity ‘Mind’ and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health problems across the UK.
The epic challenge will begin on 5th August where the team will cycle for 10 days, aiming to arrive at the Leaning Tower of Pisa on 15th August.
Guy Topping, Managing Director at Barton Grange Garden Centre said: “We’re very proud of Daniel and Lavinia taking part in this challenge, especially for such a good cause. We wish them all the best of luck on their adventure.”
The team has raised almost £4,000 of their £5,000 target so far and are still encouraging people to donate. For more information, visit the team’s Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/parispisa or find them on Facebook: Tower to Tower 2016
