Lions Quays Hotel & Spa Enjoys £1Million Refurbishment
Fast on the heels of its Cabinet Rooms conference centre launch in May, the Lion Quays Hotel & Spa in Oswesty, Shropshire, has announced its next stage of refurbishment investment in the 82-bedroom hotel, part of a scheme worth over £1 million and taking developments well into 2017.
The Hotel has now completed the £500,000 upgrade of 41 of its bedrooms, with a soft, contemporary interior redesign in colourways of deep plum, mauve and bold splashes of colour, which are off-set against white linens to provide a light, airy yet characterful feel to the rooms. Juliet balconies or canal side balconies help guests to make the most of the country views from the executive and ground-floor feature guestrooms, whilst all rooms offer the modern conveniences such as contemporary en-suite bathrooms with under-floor heating and power showers, Wi Fi and large flat screen TVs.
The remaining 41 bedrooms are scheduled to be refurbished by the end of 2017 along with the completion of corridor and bathroom renovations in the next twelve months. Once finished, this two-year development project, which also included the £100,000 refurbishment of the Cabinet Rooms conference centre, will see investment in the Hotel exceed £1 million.
Colin Jenno, general manager from Lion Quays Hotel & Spa said: “We are thrilled with the progress of the redevelopment of the Hotel. We are infusing some contemporary styling and modern touches into the bedrooms, and matched with our warmth of service and great proximity to major towns such as Chester and Manchester, I can only see the Hotel going from strength to strength.”
Colin added: “The Hotel has already reaped the benefits of the early investment and meeting space refit, with occupancy forecast to increase by 2% this year and meeting booking up by 10% on this time last year. Great signs that the work we have carried out has been well received, and boding well for business next year.”
