Roof Tile Manufacturer kicks off with Burton Albion

Leading manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles has announced a sponsorship deal with its home town championship football team Burton Albion.

Known as “the Brewers” the team leapt into the championship league at the end of last season led by manager Nigel Clough (son of the famous Brian Clough).

This is the first sponsorship of its type by Russells who are sponsoring the East Stand (for an undisclosed sum) as the Brewers play in the Sky Bet Championship for the first time in the club’s history.

The East Stand hosts away fans, who are expected to visit the Pirelli Stadium in even larger numbers this season. Visiting supporters from Derby County, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest will be among those using the Russell Roof Tiles Stand this season.

Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “We are expecting a fabulous atmosphere at every game this season, especially as there will be a large contingent of travelling supporters at every fixture.

“I’m sure the Russell Roof Tiles Stand will be packed every match with fans cheering on their team, just as the home stands will be full of Albion supporters getting right behind Nigel Clough’s team.

“Playing Championship football has generated a lot of commercial opportunities and I’m delighted that Russell Roof Tiles will be sponsoring the East Stand and joining us for what will be an exciting new chapter

Russell Roof Tiles has two award-winning sites, covering a total of 11 acres (on Nicolson Way and Wetmore Lane in Burton) and manufactures concrete roof tiles and accessories used on homes across the UK.
