STH Live seal major World Athletics Championship ticketing contract
London 2017 Ltd, the organising committee behind next summer’s World ParaAthletics Championships and IAAF World Championships London 2017, have announced that Sports Travel and Hospitality (STH Live) have been appointed provider of hospitality and VIP tickets.
The London-based firm, who have already provided similar arrangements for the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and Euro 2016, have been given exclusive rights to market and sell all Category A and hospitality seats at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
In what is set to be the biggest sporting event next summer, it will be the first time that both athletics events have been held in the same city in the same summer, with the ParaAthletics taking place from 14 to 23 July and the World Championships occurring the following month from 4 to 13 August.
Commenting on the appointment, Cherry Alexander, Managing Director of London 2017 Ltd said: “STH Live is a leader in their business and we’re thrilled to have brought them on board as our exclusive hospitality and VIP tickets partner.
“They will bring their extensive sporting experience to London 2017 Ltd, helping us deliver the best Summer of World Athletics possible.”
Simon Jefford, STH Group CEO, added: “We are proud to have been appointed by the Local Organisers to manage the hospitality and VIP tickets for what is certain to be a great sporting summer in the UK.
“We have already seen how momentous athletics events at the former Olympic Stadium can be and the World ParaAthletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships London 2017 will be no different. We look forward to delivering another world class hospitality programme that will enhance an already superb event.”
