Crystal Palace announce new EA Sports sponsorship ahead of new season
Premier League football club have announced a tie-up with video game brand EA Sports ahead of the new 2016/17 Premier League season.
The new one-year deal sees the North American brand become the club’s official video game partner for the new season and will mean the EA Sports logo will be emblazoned on all of Palace’s academy shirts, the first such deal with a Premier League club.
EA Sports branding will also be emblazoned throughout the club’s fan zone at Selhurst Park, with two FIFA 17 gaming pods installed as part of the sponsorship deal.
Barry Webber, the London club’s commercial director said: “I am delighted that EA Sports have joined our corporate family and we are now the first club in the Premier League to have EA Sports feature on our junior shirt.
“A partner such as EA Sports will certainly create an engaging and fun Crystal Palace Fan Zone for our younger fan base pre match.”
Dan Holman, who is Head of Product Marketing for EA Sports Fifa commented: “It’s great to be working with another Premier League club and we look forward to bringing our authentic football experience to their junior fans.”
The exact financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
