Leeds software firm seals £21m Qatari medical contract
The Middle East subsidiary of Leeds-based software firm The Phoenix Partnership Leeds Ltd (TPP) has signed a major agreement with Qatari firm Integrated Intelligence Services (IIS) to deliver a pivotal project to the private healthcare sector in Qatar.
As part of the five-year £21m project, TPP will implement its SystmOne integrated electronic medical system across 300 primary care sites in the country as part of Qatar’s modernising drive for its healthcare system.
Once implemented, it will allow patients’ data to be shared across the country and provide a standardised system which will initially be rolled out at clinics in the private sector over the next few months.
TPP currently works with 5,000 NHS organisations providing electronic records for over 40m patients, making it one of the central companies offering UK electronic patient records systems.
The Yorkshire business has been operating under its subsidiary in the region for three years, working with the Department of Health and UKTI-backed Healthcare UK initiative which supports private companies grow commercial partnerships abroad.
