Corporation Pop announces VR team-up with magazine publisher Future PLC
Digital agency Corporation Pop has been chosen to create a 3D virtual reality experience for media firm Future PLC.
The Manchester-based company will use VR tech to strengthen the magazine publisher’s position in the growing world of 3D media.
The Samsung Gear VR platform, according to Corporation Pop, will allow users embark on an “immersive journey” into the world of Future, which publishes over 30 magazines spanning the fields of design, gaming, film, photography and music, including PC Gamer, TechRadar and Creative Bloq.
Dom Raban, Corporation Pop’s managing director, said: “We’re very excited to be working with one of the world’s most innovative media companies on a project that uses emerging technology to reinforce their brand proposition in a truly unique way.
“Creating a 3D virtual environment rather than simply using a 360 video allows for much greater immersion and versatility in terms of what we can do. It will add the wow factor too.”
Nada Khalil, the interim commercial marketing director of Bath-headquartered Future Publishing, commented: “We were looking for an original and entertaining way to engage clients with our brands, while also bringing to life Future’s mission of connecting people with their passions.
“We felt that Corporation Pop’s virtual studio environment and design capabilities were a great fit to what we wanted to achieve.”
