Manchester Business Centre Debuts National Branding
A Manchester business centre has relaunched as a national pilot to showcase Bizspace’s new corporate branding.
The Empress Business Centre on Chester Road, Trafford, is debuting the new branding and interior design scheme for the national flexible business space provider, which owns 98 sites throughout the UK.
The 40-office site, which is at almost 100% occupancy, held an open event to showcase the new-look interior design scheme, which gives a modern feel and takes design references from nearby MediaCityUK. The Manchester skyline features on corridor walls along with punchy, inspirational quotes, bold colours and mismatched classic and modern furniture.
The scheme has been planned and carried out by Territory Interior Design, one of Bizspace’s customers at Atlantic Business Centre in Altrincham, and Bizspace sales and marketing director, Emma Long, with a view to appealing directly to their key target markets of start-ups, microbusinesses and small companies, as well as giving such businesses the ideal workspace in which to flourish.
Richard Woods, business manager at Prospect Business Consulting, which has been an occupier at Empress Business Centre for almost a year, said the refurbishment was a “great improvement”.
“Work environment affects how we all feel and since the changes I really enjoy walking into the building and then meeting challenges of work,” he commented. “Any visiting clients will walk into a smart building, and I like to think I am working in a building which combines its history with a great internal feel.
“The refurb has brightened up and refreshed the communal areas and given them a cleaner, sharper more modern feel. The toilets are a great improvement, and reception looks fantastic.”
The event also showcased Bizspace’s new branding for the first time. The brand has been created after five years of internal development of the company’s values and vision, focusing on the celebration of its customers – a process which all staff have been involved with. Bizspace’s ethos is to act as a ‘silent partner’ to its customers, offering support and guidance when needed and allowing companies the facilities and structure to be able to grow and develop.
The new branding has been developed in line with its company values of Fun, Passion, Professionalism, Teamwork and Honesty. It will be launched nationwide to all Bizspace sites between now and November.
Business centre manager at Empress, Simon Fennell, commented: “Empress has such a vibrant atmosphere, and the refurbishment and new branding have really brought it to life event more.
“We’ve had so many compliments from customers and in fact one of our show offices was snapped up on the open day. We see this development as helping to extend the city centre towards Trafford, tying in with a brand new hotel and leisure complex over the road, and offering city-centre quality accommodation and highly competitive rates.”
Sales and marketing director, Emma Long, added: “The relaunch of Empress is the culmination of years of work to build our new brand, which really embodies everything we stand for as a business. The results are fantastic and I’d like to thank everyone who has worked so hard in the process to make this happen.”
Further Bizspace centres are due for a new interior design scheme in the next 12 months. Each scheme will be bespoke, taking inspiration from the centre’s history or surrounding area. Some of the next centres will be Hollinwood Business Centre in Oldham, Atlantic Business Centre in Altrincham and Wilsons Park Business Centre in Newton Heath.
