Can You Beat The Four Minute Mail?
With all eyes on the Olympic Games in Rio, marketing gurus at Hello Market have gone for gold and set their own world record ‘four minute mail’.
Doing for personalised mailings what Roger Bannister did for running a mile, Chris Goodall, Hello Market’s head designer, produced a ‘thank you’ postcard mailing in just three minutes 50 seconds – including uploads – setting a new standard for speedy, effective communications.
Chris’s mocked-up campaign thanked new customers of a financial institution who had just bought a product, such as a mortgage or savings account. He used everything which would be included in completing a live campaign - design tools, the image bank and image editor plus personalisation tools, data upload and live previewer creating multiple offers with tailored images.
The mailing was set up to go to various people who bought different types of financial products. Copy and images were changed according to gender and recent purchase so everyone would receive a communication relevant to them.
And just in case anyone called foul, Chris was filmed during his record-setting campaign completion.
Said Hello Market md and marketing expert Tony Kemp: “This proves how quick and easy it is for marketing staff to create and run with fully personalised mailings.
“This campaign included multiple personalisation, font sizes and colours; multiple images mapped to individual client insights within the data, all creating a tailored, bespoke communication to boost response rates.
