HURST in top 10 firms to work for
HURST has been named as one of the top 10 accountancy firms to work for in the UK.
The ranking comes in the sixth annual Accountancy Age – Best Employers survey.
Accountancy Age set out to identify the best firms to work for in a joint project with Best Companies Group.
Firms were judged on their working environment, training, pay and employee benefits packages following a series of employee and employer surveys.
HURST, which has offices in Manchester and Stockport, will find out its position in the top 10 at the British Accountancy Awards, which will be presented The Brewery in London on Tuesday, November 29.
Simon Brownbill, a HURST partner and the firm’s director of practice development, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be ranked in the top 10 – making the list is a huge achievement.
“We pride ourselves on attracting and retaining the very best staff. New clients routinely tell us that it is our people who set us apart from the competition.
“We look forward to finding out in November our exact position, but for now are delighted with the news.”
Among the staff benefits at HURST is a career enrichment incentive programme, giving those who stay with the firm for two years after they qualify an additional four weeks’ holiday.
All staff also receive paid time off on top of their leave allowance to do something positive in their community.
Other benefits include birthdays off, exercise classes on HURST’s premises and free fruit.
The firm also runs a Future Leaders programme which offers commercial training for partners, managers and future leaders.
Other recent developments at the firm have included a revamp of its Stockport office to include flexible working areas and the creation of informal breakout and working areas.
