Operator named for £20m boutique Liverpool hotel
The operator of a new multi-million pound hotel in Liverpool that will create the city’s first-ever rooftop swimming pool has been named.
Liverpool-based Elliot Group, the developer behind the £20m scheme, has concluded a deal with hotelier and restaurateur Paul Adams to operate the 116 room apart-hotel.
The Seel Street development forms part of Elliot Group’s £40m Wolstenholme Square project.
Paul, the man behind the Vincent Hotel in Southport and the Vincent Café & Cocktail Bar in Liverpool’s Exchange Flags, said the move is the next logical step for the brand.
He commented: “The Vincent brand is about delivering quality service and attention to detail, and these are principles that can be applied to a range of formats.
“Liverpool’s strong convention and leisure markets as well as the development’s Ropewalks location make an apart-hotel format the natural choice, given the number of multi-guest parties that we expect to use the hotel.”
He added: “Offers like our rooftop pool, bar and beauty room will be a nice addition to the Liverpool leisure market and we’re looking forward to revealing further details in due course.”

Designed by long-time Elliot Group partner Falconer Chester Hall, the Times Aparthotel by Vincent will use brickwork to fit in with the surrounding Georgian and Victorian buildings. The site was subject to a comprehensive design review with Liverpool City Council.
Elliot Group boss Elliot Lawless explained: “The design review was highly constructive and helped us identify some improvements and adjustments that will make the scheme even more successful.
“It’s a really intelligent design internally, as it will give the operator the flexibility to offer both single rooms or serviced suites.”
He continued: “I’m delighted to conclude the deal with and to bring a brand like Vincent to Ropewalks.
“It’s an intensely urban neighbourhood and Vincent is the perfect brand for it. Paul has a great track record and his reputation will add value to our Wolstenholme Square project and the wider neighbourhood.”
The hotel will back onto block D of Wolstenholme Square and is located close to the new passageway connecting the square with Seel Street.
Work on site is expected to begin this December, with the hotel due to open in December 2017.
