Clarke Willmott raises over £12,000 for local charities
Taunton-based law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has presented its final fundraising donation to its two office charities, Stand Against Violence and Hope for Tomorrow, who they have supported for the past two years.
Clarke Willmott has been fundraising for the charities since August 2014, raising over £12,000 through dress-down days, bake sales, a charity golf day, and the firm’s biannual charity ball.
Stand Against Violence work with young people in the South West to help prevent youth violence, while Hope for Tomorrow are a mobile Chemotherapy charity supporting cancer patients and their families.
Roger Seaton, Head of Clarke Willmott’s Taunton office, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to support both Stand Against Violence and Hope for Tomorrow, especially the individuals who work with or volunteer and give a huge amount of time and commitment in supporting both of these incredible causes.”
Claire Cosgrove, Head of Fundraising for Hope for Tomorrow, said: “It has been a real pleasure working with Clarke Willmott over the past 2 years.
“As a company they have thrown themselves into fundraising with enthusiasm and have not only raised a significant amount of money but have also helped raise awareness of BUMBLE, our mobile chemotherapy unit project in Somerset.
“A massive thank you from all at Hope for Tomorrow and from the patients who have benefited from using BUMBLE.”
Adam Fouracre, CEO of Stand Against Violence, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure working with Clarke Willmott over the last two years.
“Their support has been tremendous and a huge benefit to our charity at such a pivotal point in our growth. We cannot thank the staff at the Taunton office enough for their kind support and generosity.”
