Jesmond hotelier features in new TV show
If you’re looking for tips on how to create the home of your dreams for next to nothing - and also find out exactly how it’s been done in Newcastle, then don’t miss “Fill your House for Free” on Channel 4, Monday 22 August at 4pm.
The Rosebery Hotel in Jesmond, Newcastle, will feature in Monday’s episode of TV’s new home makeover series hosted by zany Gok Wan and also in another episode on Wednesday 23 September.
Fill Your House For Free is full of money-saving tips on how to create the home of your dreams and the Rosebery Hotel is a great example of how you can achieve fantastic interiors without breaking the bank.
This Jesmond hotel has been chosen especially for the series by the producers because it’s been styled beautifully from floor to ceiling in vintage chic very inexpensively by its talented female owner.
With the hotel’s French vintage beds and lavishly styled interiors, you’d never guess how many of those stunning furnishings and accessories were obtained for free!
In Monday’s episode, Gok talks to savvy Rosebery Hotel owner and self-taught interior designer Janet Stansfield to find out how she transformed the lovely old Edwardian property from drab to a delightful retreat for guests at a fraction of the cost you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre.
This unique, vintage chic hotel, has now been lovingly refurbished in fantastic style and Janet has now been dubbed “The Bradley Wiggins of Upcyling” by an impressed guest.
In ’Fill Your House for Free“, and in the Rosebery Hotel in particular, you will see so many beautiful interiors filled with upcycled, vintage items that you will definitely be inspired to give it a go yourself.
