Free webinar launched in association with CIWM
UNTHA UK’s chairman Chris Oldfield is set to take part in an advice-led webinar in association with CIWM.
The event – A Buyer’s Guide to Shredders – will be held online on Tuesday 6th September. The session is free to attend but pre-registration is essential.
Chris will be joined by fellow speakers Chris Murphy (deputy chief executive of CIWM) and Paul Rendle-Barnes (group senior business development at Avanti Environmental). Together, the three industry experts will evaluate the extent to which, in the current economic climate, procuring the right machinery matters more than ever. They will speak authoritatively on the need for technology to adapt to suit the changing nature of the environmental sector, if operators are to extract the most value from their waste.
The webinar will specifically cover:
- A summary of the market’s evolution since the Brexit decision, and the likely outlook for the waste and recycling landscape.
- The factors to consider before and during the shredder procurement process, to ensure waste & recycling operators select the best-fit machine.
- An insight into Avanti’s shredder procurement journey – timescales allowed, key buying criteria, measuring ROI and unexpected considerations.
- Tips on how to achieve a return on investment (ROI) from shredding technology.
Delegates will be invited to put their questions to the speakers throughout. A free ROI checklist will also be sent to all registrants, once the webinar has taken place.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Chris Oldfield said: “Webinars provide a great, engaging and convenient way for industry professionals to pick up hints and tips from people well placed to help them. I’m looking forward to covering what continues to be a hot topic in our sector, and am delighted to be collaborating with CIWM and Avanti on the subject. This will very much be an advice-led session – delegates needn’t worry that it will be a sales pitch!
“I hope registrants will ‘leave’ having learned how to maximise their ROI from the next shredder they invest in. There’s lots to include in an event that lasts less than an hour, but we’ll stick to the important bits, circulate copies of our slides afterwards, and invite people to continue the conversation offline if they need more detail.”
