Calderpeel Architects nabs £14.5m residential hat-trick

Calderpeel Architects has been chosen to design a trio of housing schemes across the North West worth around £14.5m.

The Altrincham-based firm was selected by developer Altin Homes to provide designs for 24 contemporary four- and five-bedroom homes on Northenden Road in Sale to be known as The Place.

Calderpeel has also designed a scheme for housebuilder Regency Residential that will convert the former Yesterdays nightclub in Alderley Edge into 12 four-bed single-storey homes. The properties are being built around a lake and feature flat ‘green’ roofs to minimise their visual impact on the surrounding area.

Elsewhere, construction work is underway on the Residenza development on George Leigh Street in Ancoats – a 14-property scheme designed by Calderpeel on behalf of developer Hillcrest Homes.

The four-storey houses, all of which have already been sold off plan, are split ‘back to back’ into two rows of seven and feature enclosed gardens and terraces for alfresco dining.

In addition to the hat-trick of multi-home residential contracts, Calderpeel has also recently secured a host of commissions from of private clients for newbuilds in Windermere, Bowdon and Hale.
