Dreamr Head joins Employer Skills Advisory Board
Lynne Makinson-Walsh, Dreamr’s Head of Aspiration has been selected to be part of The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Employer Skills Advisory Board.
The board, which was set up to explore government policy and skills issues in Manchester, will see Makinson-Walsh focus, specifically on the digital sector.
Helen Rose, Skills Services Manager said: “I recommended Lynne to become part of our Employer Skills Advisory board as I know she is passionate about skills development and also young people. I have worked with Lynne on our Young Chamber membership offer to schools where she and her team have engaged with young people providing a very useful insight into the creative and digital sector.”
Made up of 12 employers from Manchester, Makinson-Walsh was invited to join the board due to Dreamr’s investment in skills and development, which culminated in a recent award win at the Skills for Business Awards.
Mylo Kaye, CEO of Dreamr added: “Lynne joined us as Head of Aspiration in 2015, and has since driven the business forward with a huge focus on skills development. By creating a strategy to develop technical and people skills, we have seen this greatly improve not only our people but also our bottom line.
I’m thrilled to see Lynne join the Skills Advisory Board and proud of what she’s achieved in the past 12 months. Joining the board is the next step in creating positive change within the Manchester digital sector.“
