Clarke Willmott to host limb loss event
A Bristol law firm has announced an upcoming event which aims to provide training and discuss issues surrounding limb loss.
The event ‘Life After Limb Loss’ is the latest in a series of fundraising and awareness events organised by lawyers at Clarke Willmott LLP, and will take place at the firm’s city centre offices on 5 October 2016.
Following on from Clarke Willmott’s successful Brain Injury event last year, which raised more than £2,000, the limb loss event aims to raise a similar amount for charity Meningitis Research Foundation.
It will bring legal and medical professionals, case managers, and charities together to discuss and share knowledge and expertise in the field, as well as raising vital money for charity.
Speakers at the event include Clarke Willmott lawyers, surgeons, charity representatives and survivors of meningitis.
Stephen Trump, Partner at Clarke Willmott, said: “We are all very much looking forward to the Life After Limb Loss event at our offices in Bristol later this year, and are also keen to emulate previous events in raising a good amount of money for Meningitis Research Foundation. A similar event we held in 2014 raised an amazing £7,000 for the charity.
“These events tend to attract professionals from the medical and legal professions and have been very successful each year that we’ve held them.
“Tickets are already selling well, and although there are still some places left, I’d advise anyone interested to act quickly to avoid missing out.”
Life After Limb Loss will take place at Clarke Willmott’s offices on Georges Square, Bristol and is organised in conjunction with 12 King’s Bench Walk and Meningitis Research Foundation. The event is also sponsored by The London Prosthetic Centre, Ossur and Blatchford.
