Celebrity hairdresser to launch Heathrow Terminal 5’s first ever salon

Celebrity hairdresser Bradley Smith is set to open the first arrivals blow dry bar inside Heathrow Terminal 5.

The stylist, whose celebrity clients include actress Ayda Field, wife of Robbie Williams, won the three-year contract after a competitive pitch process.

The Bradley Smith Hair Express Bar opens on September 15th, 2016 offering blow-dries in 15 minutes.

The salon will feature a walk-in service but appointments can also be made via the Bradley Smith website so clients can sit down as soon as they arrive in the UK.

Bradley Smith, said: “This is all about giving customers what they need when they land at Heathrow.

“Arrivals should be about getting the essentials as quickly as possible. Speed and efficiency are key, especially for business travellers arriving for meetings.”

Bradley, who already operates an existing salon at Sofitel London Heathrow, added: “Altitude, cabin pressure and climate control wreak havoc on hair. The last thing anyone wants when they land is for their hair to look like it’s just travelled 3,000 miles.

“The Express Bar means you can get a 15 minute blow-dry while you wait for your taxi and look better when you leave the airport than when you took off.”

The Bradley Smith Hair Express Bar will be located in the arrivals hall opposite Heathrow Express.

It will also offer manicures, threading and massage services as well as men’s cuts in just seven minutes.

Chris Annetts, Heathrow’s retail and service proposition director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bradley Smith’s Express Bar to Terminal 5 arrivals. With so many of our passengers heading straight from the airport to the office or an event in London, this new bar will be the perfect way of ensuring they feel refreshed and look their best.”
