Liverpool’s Atmore Group completes sale of properties worth £20m
Atmore Group, the property investment and development firm, has completed on the sale of 44 properties worth a combined £20m from its national high street retail portfolio.
The deals were part of the Liverpool-based company’s ongoing strategy to reposition its property assets as it prepares to take advantage of future market opportunities.
DTM Legal, the North West law firm with offices in Liverpool and Chester, advised Atmore during the sale process.
The majority of the lots sold were occupied by national and regional retailers, including brands such as Wilkos and Iceland. The purchasers ranged from private investors to large investment businesses.
The deals completed in August following two auctions held back in May and July.
Atmore MD Charles Shepherd said: “These transactions, which followed numerous lettings and lease re-gears, are important to the group as it seeks to rebalance the portfolio and simultaneously providing funds for new projects.”
DTM Legal Consultant Robert Harris, who advised on the sale with associate Sally Pilott, commented: “We were delighted to be appointed by the owners of Atmore Group to support on these transactions as they sought to streamline their property portfolio.
“Managing the sale of so many diverse properties at once is challenging but we managed to complete the sales with minimum of fuss in just over four months.”
He added: “It was a significant undertaking, but one we were delighted to be a part of.”
