Boro Taxis in £2m fleet upgrade
Middlesbrough-based taxi firm Boro Taxis has begun a £2m investment programme to update and renew its vehicle fleet.
Already taking delivery of a number of Skoda Octavias and Ford Tourneos worth approximately £500k, the firm will receive the keys to the remaining vehicles, worth a total of £1.5m, before the end of the year.
Mohammed Bashir, owner of Boro Taxis, said: “Whilst this is an investment for our customers, to provide them with a comfortable and modern ride, it is also an investment for our drivers, providing them with new, more efficient vehicles.
“This programme of investment in our fleet demonstrates our confidence in the local market, and in the long term prosperity of Tees Valley as a whole.
“Boro Taxis has come a long way since we started with just three cars more than 30 years ago. Continued investment in vehicles and people is the key to our success, along with ensuring that our drivers are able to provide the very best in customer service.”
