Yorkshire Businesses Drive Forward For Charity
A leading Yorkshire housebuilder has hosted a charity golf day to raise money for its 2016 charity project – Habitat for Humanity – which supports housebuilding in deprived countries across the globe.
The Miller Homes team is committed to raising £100,000 and will travel to Malawi in a matter of days to construct homes in a local township.
“This is a fantastic charity and one that we have taken to our hearts raising money throughout the year so far in a variety of ways,” commented Tony Whitehouse Regional Buyer Miller Homes Yorkshire. “We were delighted to welcome suppliers, contractors, friends and colleagues to play in our annual golf day and taking to the fairways of Leas Hall Golf Club near Norton, Sheffield was a complete pleasure.”
Support came from a variety of businesses including RMG, Arnold Laver & Co, Tarmac Mortars, Reconomy, MKM Builders merchants and a selection of other companies and sub-contractors to which the whole team was eternally grateful.
“The winning team, MKM Builders Castleford branch were closely followed by Artisan Brickwork and our Miller team from the North West region,” said Tony. “Over £4,000 was raised for the charity and we warmly thank everyone who took part.”
The fundraising campaign culminates with the North area annual ball which takes place during October.
Miller Homes is committed to building homes that complement existing communities and that make a difference to the quality of life for its purchasers.
