A little agency goes a Longwood way
A local web development agency is celebrating after they successfully helped build a website for a university in Virginia, America.
HeX Productions, a digital web agency based in Ilkeston, a town on the outskirts of Nottingham, was responsible for the implementation and testing of the Longwood University site which successfully launched week.
James Hall, Creative Director at HeX Productions said: “It was a real honour to work on a site of this size, and to really get our teeth into a project that so many people will be using every day.”
HeX Productions boasts a strong background in local authorities working with a number of councils in the East Midlands but this is the first time that the agency has been asked to work on an international higher educational project.
The firm is proud to now be able to offer an advanced understanding of university websites to other higher education institutes as part of its growing services.
James added: “We may have a small team, but the quality of the work produced is of very high standard. To say we have now worked with a university in America is something we are all very proud to have achieved.”
Situated in Farmville, Virginia, Longwood University boasts an impressive 5096 students, made up of 4574 undergraduates, and 522 postgraduates.
The website uses the TERMINALFOUR content management system to target both current and prospective students, and provides information about the university’s courses, campus and upcoming events.
