Awards success for Be Wiser Insurance

Be Wiser Insurance has been honoured in the prestigious Insurance Brokers Award with success in two categories.

The fast-expanding company won the training award for setting the benchmark in the industry and its chairman and CEO Mark Bower-Dyke was named Broker Personality of the Year.

Financial director Andrew Dunkerley said the whole company had played its part in the success at the awards which recognise best practice across the UK insurance industry.

“Training is key to our success and to receive this award is testament to our commitment to staff development at all levels of the company,’’ said Andrew.

Be Wiser has built up a formidable reputation for training in the insurance industry with more than 200 apprentices and the launch this month of the first degree programme of its kind.

Training at Be Wiser is headed by the company’s director of training and development, Crescens George who said he was thrilled with the award. “Training is crucial to our long term expansion and success,’’ he said “This award recognises our investment in staff skills and our role in industry training and innovations such as the new degree programme.”

Be Wiser chairman Mark Bower-Dyke said he was thrilled to have been named as the first Broker Personality of the Year.

“We work in a great industry with some extremely talented, innovative and forward thinking people so to be recognised in this way by the judges is quite an honour,’’ he said. “This award really is for everyone at Be Wiser who shares our vision and determination to be the best in the industry.”

Judges were looking for someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the insurance world in the last 12 months.
