New Logistics Facility for e-Retailers
E-retail clients of James and James Fulfilment will now be able to count on later order cut-off times thanks to a large new warehousing facility set up in Northampton, adjacent to other major logistics providers in the ‘Golden Triangle’ for distribution.
James and James, the fast growing e-fulfilment provider, has also established its new Head Office at the site which will act as a more efficient centre of UK operations. The company supports its retail clients with real time, cloud-based scalable fulfilment solutions based on its proprietary software. 100% of orders are despatched the same day as received, and order cut-off times should be extended with this new facility.
The new warehouse covers 125,000 square feet, large enough to hold all the tennis courts at Wimbledon. Around 3 million items are held in stock at any time. The total site footprint is six acres at the Brackmills Industrial Estate logistics hub, with excellent access to the UK’s transport and business infrastructure via the M1, A45 and A14 trunk routes.
“This new facility offers us a highly efficient gateway to our national and international customers”, said James Hyde, Operations Director of James and James. “We have recently opened another large facility in Ohio, USA and plan to announce news of further international expansion imminently.”
The company expects the usual very busy period running up Christmas and plans to add 60% more staff, taking its workforce to 80 people. Clients of James and James include Omega Pharma, Regis and Cards Against Humanity.
