Hotel Gotham cements five-star status alongside occupancy growth
Hotel Gotham is celebrating a successful summer after seeing its occupancy rates leap and securing the stamp of approval from AA Quality Standards.
The boutique Manchester hotel managed to cement its five-star status with the hotel ratings body following a series of quality checks and on-site inspections.
Further, in August the city centre venue saw its occupancy rates soar to 89%, a year-on-year rise of 10%.
Located on King Street, the 60-bedroom Hotel Gotham is one of only two five-star hotels in the city.
Bosses have now revealed plans to achieve an annual average occupancy rate of 90% and build on this year’s recruitment efforts by continuing to grow the team by Spring 2017.
The hotel’s general manager, Mario Ovsenjak, said: “We always knew Hotel Gotham would bring something a little different to the city and would provide guests with an alternative to the run-of-the-mill luxury hotels found up and down the country; however, the challenge was to maintain the initial excitement and keep momentum going.
“We’re extremely proud that we’ve seen a marked increase in occupancy rates during the summer, as it’s traditionally a time when city centre hotels tend to see a dip in figures; it’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication from every single member of our in-house team.”
He added: “We’re thrilled to have had our five stars cemented by the AA and are looking forward to taking Gotham to the next level.”
